If you're planning to move off campus in the Worcester, MA area, starting your housing search in the fall can give you the best chance of finding a place that fits your budget, location, and roommate preferences.

Students at Worcester-area colleges often start looking for apartments several months before the next academic year. WPI students, for example, frequently recommend searching around October through December, especially if you want to be close to campus or find one of the more affordable options.

You don't necessarily need to sign a lease immediately. Starting early lets you compare apartments, find roommates, and get familiar with Worcester's different neighborhoods.
